Will DiNola is a composer, filmmaker, and writer focusing on how macro-narratives and cultural memory shape storytelling micro-decisions. Particularly, he is interested in the ethics of film scoring, cross-cultural and genre-mashing musical collaboration, and the political as the (inter)personal. He also explores the personal, cultural, and spiritual ramifications of artistic “voice.” DiNola writes about his experiences in a newsletter called “do”.
His film scoring work has been shown at festivals such as Philadelphia Unnamed, New York Shorts International, Lighthouse International, Monmouth, and online at Film Shortage and Split Tooth Media. He is currently working on his first solo album, which is about the cultural memory of children’s toys and the search for artistic voice. He currently resides in New York City.
